History From the Proprietor
There were many suggestions when we were building the steakhouse as to what to name it. In the end, my desire to honor my mother prevailed.
You see, I joined the Navy shortly after graduating High School. I was the youngest and last to leave of my parents nine children. My Mom wrote to me often, three to four times a week some weeks. She always kept me up to date on family matters and the local gossip.
I was deplyed in the Agean Sea in December 1973 just 15 months after joining the Navy when the Captain came and found me on a Sunday morning to inform me my Mom had suddenly passed away. It was probably the most tramatic experience of my life at 19 years old.
But back to the naming of the Steakhouse. You see, every letter my Mom wrote was addressed, “Dear Admiral.” So when trying to stick to this nautical theme and still honor my Mom so hence the name “Admiral.”
My family and I hope you will join us for s lovely dining experience and make this your special place for those special ocasssions.
